PLOTLINE
most of the plot specifics are dependent on the characters that will join the group. important dates (and much more detail in general) are in the timeline section of the carrd, and the prophecies also have their own section.
this group is basically the heroes of olympus series without the canon characters. we've tweaked the plot around a little in order to make it unique; the titan war will have still happened but none of the canon demigods have ever existed.
this section is brief because we plan to develop most of this with the demigods we choose from our applications. all seven of the heroes are extremely essential to the plot and we don't want to work on much of that before everyone is here.
since this group of demigods is so small, we will, unfortunately, not be able to accept everyone who applies. this is going to be difficult and we apologize that our plot does not allow for everyone to be involved. if things go really well, maybe one day we will be able to expand upon this universe and make it into more of a group. please don't be discouraged if you aren't chosen <3
TIMELINE
SEPTEMBER 1939
at the start of the second world war, the erythraean oracle gives a prophecy as the gods spar against each other. too distracted with their own fighting, the titaness gaea seizes the opportunity to raise her giant army and open the doors of death… but fails.
1942
a demigod child of hades, meredith grey, is lured to alaska — “the land beyond the gods” — to help revive alcyoneus, the largest of gaea’s giants. she sacrifices herself instead, destroying gaea’s plan as she is the only living descendant of hades at the time.
this is a parallel to hazel levesque and her death, but this demigod will remain dead so as not to create a carbon copy of hazel's storyline
2007
a new erythraean oracle has been found and taken to the safety of new rome — licia casales. lee arrives at camp jupiter, and within her first year, delivers the same prophecy of the seven as the erythraean oracle before her, verbatim. this is concerning, but the legion is now better equipped to face it than they were in the 40s.
the prophecy (which can be found in the "prophecies" section of this carrd) includes a stark reference to a daughter of neptune, but there are no descendants of neptune at camp jupiter.
the difference between this delivery of the prophecy and the last is that there is no major war going on, and the gods are relatively at peace. it's slowly building and as time passes and nothing changes, the romans loosen up about it because after the last war, everyone was under the impression that it would be a long time before the next.
JULY 2009
communication with the gods ceases; olympus is silent and mr. d is called away from camp half-blood. monsters are more abundant than ever, and regenerating faster. unprotected demigods are in more grave danger than usual. new rome has also noticed communication with the gods being cut off.
eighteen year-old lee delivers another prophecy on behalf of juno, who is captured and being held at the wolf house. someone's character may have juno/hera's voice in their head/dreams, just like jason. the prophecy will eventually be addressed to them. the three demigods who are in california at this time will go on a quest.
around the same time, cristina yang, the oracle of delphi at camp half-blood, delivers a prophecy that sends 3-4 demigods on a quest to rescue thanatos, who has been removed from his post guarding the doors of death. his disappearance, they discover, is the reason why monsters have become so much stronger and more prominent. they are back in new york in time for the roman heroes to arrive at camp half-blood and join forces.
there will be more space to fill in here once we have chosen our heroes. there needs to be more buildup to the Big Boy War™
eventually, lee, with the help of some others, pieces together that there are more demigods in the world… specifically, greeks in montauk, new york.
21 DECEMBER 2009
winter solstice. by this date, the romans will have reached camp half-blood and linked with the greek demigods from the prophecy.
the roman group sets off to montauk and eventually reaches camp half-blood, where they find mei song — daughter of poseidon — and a few other demigods. password for the application is your favorite character from the riordanverse. chiron does what he can to help them, and they begin on their quest against gaea and the gigantes.
this part will also be filled in MUCH MORE after we've chosen our heroes and begun to develop the plot together :)

THE PROTECTOR — mei song, daughter of poseidon
this character takes on a protective role to the rest of the group. they constantly feel the need to bear the burden for everyone and, while they may not act like it, hold a lot of love in their heart for the rest of the group.
THE SEER — licia casales, augur of camp jupiter
this character has the divine gift of prophecy. this gift is a heavy burden. they are a vessel for communicating the absolute word of the gods and the fate of the world. along the journey they act as a guide to the heroes.
THE NAVIGATOR — raiden cassidy, son of jupiter
this character is a demigod with a keen sense of direction, in charge of mapping out destinations, trials and battles. they direct the route of the heroes’ journey - by sea, land, air…
THE STRATEGIST — emery mcclure, daughter of ares
this character seems to always have another intricate and ingenious way of defeating the enemy. they are calculated in their approach to problem solving, taking risks only when they have been carefully thought through.
THE MAVERICK — darcy von evers, son of hades
this character prefers to strike out on their own — outspoken and independent. they prefer their own company rather than the others and therefore may project as a ‘loner.’ it’s important to note that they are not necessarily unpredictable like the wild card archetype.
THE WILD CARD — frankie chappel, daughter of pluto
this character is extremely unpredictable. extremely impulsive, no one can ever tell if they will act calmly or irrationally. sometimes they can’t seem to cooperate, and other times they have amazing ideas to contribute.
THE CLEVER — indiana coleman, daughter of aphrodite
this character is a charmer and knows how to navigate and adjust to any situation. they’re good at getting the gang out of sticky situations and know how to act and when to act.
THE SAGE — charlie price, daughter of athena
this character is wise. they seem to know everything, and are a walking mythological encyclopedia of sorts. they’re wise and act as if they’ve lived a thousand lives; they always know the right thing to say whether it has to do emotions, advice, or problem-solving.
THE RELUCTANT — beau demarco, son of vulcan
this person is fickle in their loyalty to the rest of the group and the efforts to stop gaea and her giants. no matter if they accidentally found themselves on this journey or were dragged along… this character didn’t exactly plan to be here, and may not adjust so fast.
